“Railway and energy markets: orientation in the digital transformation” was the title of the symposium organized by ASTRAN for the first time. Around 40 participants from the worlds of business and science discussed everything from the digital roadmaps of railroads and power grid operators to the societal impact of artificial intelligence at the contrasting Kiel Machine Museum. The unanimous conclusion: the opportunities of digitization outweigh the risks.
